2020 Film Reel



For this film reel, I wanted to capture happiness and laughter. I wanted it to overall be a feel good video. For all projects in my film reel, I was the director of photography. Cinematography best represents my brand because I'm very focused on the visual appeal of each shot. I am a perfectionist which helps me to always get the right focus, alignment, and balance. 

All of the shots in this reel are my best shots. The yellow tones of the lighting help with the happy feel I was trying to convey. For the song, I wanted something that was upbeat and fun to work with the rest giving it good vibes. I tried to only use shots that fit together seamlessly. So I chose the ones most similar in color and style. 

Next time, I will try to add more variety of what my shots contain. I will try to implement close ups of objects so it's not all people, and work on doing projects with other people to get a variety of different people in my film reel. I will definitely keep the feel good vibe and style of colors and editing.

I feel that my reel is complete, but to bring its quality to the next level, adding more diverse shots and subjects will really help it take a step up. Maybe color correcting all the shots to be even more similar and flow perfect and seamlessly. Overall, I am very happy with how my film reel turned out and the impression it gives about me and my work.

House Animation

Over the past few weeks in e-Comm, we had been making houses on Google Sketch-up. These are two of the seamless textures I used. The grey one for siding, and the brown one for roofing and shutters. I liked this project, although for some reason I had quite a bit of trouble learning how to use the application. I had a lot of struggles, but the end result turned out ok. I enjoyed building the house, but I think I would personally like it more if we were creating our own house. Personalizing it would be fun. I would've aded more details to the house, there's quite a few I missed, but it took me the whole time to get this because I'm new to this kind of thing. Although my house is not perfect, I'm proud of what I accomplished, and will keep working to figure it out better.

Panorama Project

The Meaning For eComm graphic design, I made a panorama. My theme is nature. I chose this theme because I love being outdoors and photography of nature. I took all of these pictures. Some were taken in my neighborhood, some in Iowa when I visited my grandparents, and some just around town. I love the outdoors because of all the life, and how everything is peaceful and beautiful. There are stories behind each of the pictures I used. For example, the picture of the bridge was taken at Ernie Miller Nature Park. While we were there taking pictures, my dads car got broken into in the parking lot. My sisters lanyard with her ID, money, and keys was luckily the only thing that was stolen. The picture of the sunflower was taken at the sunflower field when I went with my family. I was super hot that day.
