Using Video Tutorials for Photoshop Tools

Photoshop Tutorials

Overview

This week in my e-Comm graphic design class, we have been learning how to use the tools in photoshop for basic editing with video tutorials. We learned how to use 6 tools. There was a different picture/assignment each tool was focused on. This project really helped me learn the basics of editing on Adobe Photoshop. Here they are and how it went.

Content Aware Fill

Using the content aware fill tool was very easy in this tutorial. I think I did a good job of removing
the logo in this picture and keeping it clean. I am overall happy with how this project came out.

Patch Tool

Using the patch tool in this tutorial was pretty easy. I think the final product looks pretty good, but theres a lot of room for improvement. It looks a little splotchy in areas, but when I tried to use the patch tool to bring some darkness into the parts that were too light, the stayed light.

Clone Stamp and Healing Brush

For this picture, I thought it was a lot more difficult to use the tools. In the pocket area, it took me a while to get it to look smooth and unedited. On this tutorial, I went a little rouge and did somethings different than him, and I think it turned out really well.

Clone Stamp and Patch Tool

This project was very quick and easy. I really enjoyed using the clone stamp tool, I find that it works really well. I also like using the patch tool to cover big areas.

Spot Healing Brush

This project was also pretty easy. I think I did a good job removing the dirt from his face and making not making it noticeable. The spot healing brush worked very well, and I will definitely use it in the future

Portrait Collage

Our final project was a college. This was the hardest one. I think it turned out pretty well, even though I had a few obstacles on the way. We used all the tools to create the end collage. I think the most difficult part was retouching the sky/branches and keeping it smooth.
