Web Design

Web Design Project

Overview

We began this project by setting up our site in DreamWeaver. It began fairly difficult, but I figured things out pretty quickly. We started by making our first page. On my home page, is a photo of me, and my elevator pitch, a brief description of me, and my skills and experiences. Then we added our second page, and embedded our projects and their descriptions. It contains two of my projects from the first semester of e-Communication. The first one, my House Animation from the animation rotation first quarter, and the second one, my Chase Scene video from the video rotation second quarter. The class started the project on Monday, but I was absent that day. So, I was working on this project for about four days.

What I Learned

This project was a very good experience. I think that I got a lot out of it. Using the videos really helped me see how to do everything step by step. With them, someone who is a beginner at Web Design, like me, could complete a simple project like this easily. I am glad that I now have some knowledge and experience with DreamWeaver and coding. It really helped having teachers available for questions at any time.

How Did I Do?

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the finished product. It looks clean, and is very customized to my personal likes and dislikes. Next time I will use colors that differ from each other more, but sill compliment each other. I will also maybe use some more variety of fonts. I would like to do a project similar to this again. And when I do, it will go a lot smoother, now that I have experience.

In Conclusion

I think this project went very well, and I take pride in the final outcome. I had never done anything like this before, and am surprised that I picked it up so fast. I'm very happy that I got the chance to do this project, because it was a very fun way of learning how to design a website.

Thank you for reading!
